BBL
Sun exposure, redness, uneven pigment, and time can all change the way your skin looks and feels. BBL HEROic is an advanced light-based treatment designed to improve visible sun damage, age spots, freckles, redness, small vessels, and overall skin clarity—with minimal to no downtime. At InBloom Health + Medispa, every treatment begins with your skin, your goals, and an honest conversation. Our licensed medical aesthetic providers personalize each BBL HEROic session to help you achieve a brighter, more even complexion while keeping your results natural.
BBL HEROic is Sciton's next-generation BroadBand Light treatment. Unlike a laser, BBL uses carefully selected wavelengths of light to address pigment and vascular concerns within the skin. The light energy is absorbed by areas of discoloration, helping the body gradually clear them while supporting a smoother, more luminous appearance.
HEROic builds on Sciton's established BBL technology with Intelligent Control and a Skin Positioning System. Together, these features track the movement and position of the handpiece and automatically guide pulse placement. For patients, that means a treatment designed to be fast, consistent, comfortable, and precise—even across curved or larger areas of the face and body.
CLEARER SKIN FROM FACE TO BODY
Depending on your skin type and personalized settings, BBL HEROic may improve:
Common treatment areas include the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, back, and legs. Your provider will recommend the right areas and treatment approach based on what is safe and effective for your skin.
A TREATMENT PLAN MADE FOR YOU
BBL HEROic may be a good fit if you want to improve visible pigment, redness, or overall skin clarity without significant downtime. Because light-based treatments are not appropriate for every skin tone, health history, or season of life, a consultation is essential. Your InBloom provider will evaluate your skin tone, recent sun exposure, medications, medical history, and goals before recommending treatment. Let us know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, prone to cold sores, taking photosensitizing medication, or have recently tanned. If BBL HEROic is not the right choice, we will help you explore an option that is.
SIMPLE, COMFORTABLE, AND CUSTOMIZED
Before treatment, your skin will be cleansed and you will wear protective eyewear. A clear gel may be applied to the treatment area. Your provider will then glide the HEROic handpiece across the skin as controlled pulses of light target areas of pigment and redness. Most patients describe the sensation as warmth or a quick snap against the skin. The device's chilled sapphire crystal helps keep the skin cool, so topical numbing is typically not needed. Treatment time varies by area, but HEROic's motion-guided technology allows many sessions—including larger body areas—to be completed efficiently.
MINIMAL DOWNTIME. REAL-LIFE FRIENDLY.
Most patients return to their normal routine immediately after treatment. Your skin may feel warm and look slightly flushed for a few hours. Pigmented spots often become temporarily darker before flaking or fading over the following days. Mild swelling can also occur, particularly after facial treatment. Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your InBloom provider. In general, protect treated skin from direct sun, wear broad-spectrum sunscreen, avoid picking or exfoliating darkened spots, and pause intense heat or exercise if advised.
A BRIGHTER OUTLOOK FOR YOUR SKIN
As treated pigment and redness fade, skin can appear clearer, more even, and refreshed. Many patients notice visible improvement within the first few weeks. The number of sessions you need will depend on your starting point, the concerns being treated, and your goals. Some patients see meaningful change after one or two treatments, while others benefit from a corrective series followed by maintenance treatments.
Healthy skin is an ongoing process. Your provider may also recommend medical-grade skincare and daily sun protection to help support and maintain your results.

Some patients see visible improvement after one or two sessions, but your plan may include a series of treatments based on your concerns and goals. Maintenance timing is also personalized.
